Defender of the Damned

Love or hate him, there’s nothing Maverick Martin enjoys more than getting shit-faced with his best friends, or flirting with Penny Dailey, his smoking hot law partner—and what better reason to celebrate than a hot streak of acquittals which include an alleged murderer, rapist, and child molester? But when an elderly man is murdered, and the accused is battered and coerced into a confession, Maverick & Dailey are summoned to defend him. As they investigate the foggy events surrounding the crime, Maverick begins to question his morals along with those closest to him. Digging deeper, and dragging his friends into the well of crime to uncover the truth—while being hunted by a past victim with a score to settle—Maverick learns he’s involved as much as the psychopath he’s defending; and that unwaivering loyalty to his friends will be tested against the will to exonerate himself.

Lions of Kandahar

Southern Afghanistan was slipping away, and in complete disarray from how Major Rusty Bradley left it 6 months prior. The Taliban and their allies had infiltrated everywhere, poised to reclaim Kandahar Province. To stop them, NATO launched Operation Medusa, the largest offensive in history. The battlefield was the Panjwayi Valley, a densely packed warren of walled compounds that doubled as enemy bunkers, lush orchards, and marijuana farms, laced with treacherous irrigation ditches. Initially a diversionary unit, Bradley’s ODA had to cross the hellish, unforgiving Red Desert in order to sneak behind enemy lines. The soldiers battle heat exhaustion, dehydration, little supplies, all while chasing an elusive Taliban contingent.

Growing up, Rob Arnold and Brett Edwards knew of the bourbon trail as little more than just that, a dirt trail with a few distilleries. But as the industry grew and evolved, its direct and indirect influence has shaped the state's economy into that of a sophisticated, thriving metropolis with more to offer than whiskey. From the Kentucky Derby to world-renowned culinary chefs, Kentucky and the Bourbon Trail have exploded to become a thriving destination. This documentary will explore the bourbon industry, from grain to glass, and its influence on the state's growth and rising popularity, as its image shifts away from its rural, humble beginnings.
